As you know without any introduction, Sri. Kalamandalam Sivadas an eminent Chenda artist who is in the field of performance and teaching Chenda from the past 35 years has been credited with more than 4500 students world wide. His extensive travels in India and outside for presenting Melam, Thayambaka and Classes gave him opportunities to be conversant with Chenda with east and west.

A recipient of various awards of Temple committees, he has now been conferred the 2022 Kerala Kalamandalam Award for his contributions to Chenda.
