Build your own Linux NAS - Part 3: Power Saving on Linux
This video will cover power saving on our 24/7 running system. First, we'll look into the idle consumption, then look into hdparm and hd-idle to save on the disk power consumption and finally we'll install powertop and enable it. To make sure we measure everything correct, I'm using Tuya-like smartplugs and plot the power readings in a graph.
This video series covers my journey for a self-built, Linux-based, NAS for home.
