Union Budget 2021: Finance Minister of the country Nirmala Sitharaman announced the Union Budget for the Financial Year 2021-22 on February 1, Monday. Amid the ongoing farm crisis with protests against the farm laws continuing for months, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in her Budget 2021 speech that the government is increasing the agriculture credit target to Rs 16.5 lakh crore. In the budget, Finance Minister announced several allocations and new schemes for Agricuture. Government is looking forward to boost the export in farming, horticulture, and fisheries. In her budget speech for the next fiscal, she said the procurement of crops like paddy, wheat, pulses, and cotton has jumped manifold in the last six years.
