Colorado 4x4 Rescue and Recovery - Red Feather "Double Header"

Sunday March 24th 2019 a team from Colorado 4x4 Rescue and Recovery ventured up to Red Feather Lakes for a double header recovery and some recon on a 3rd.

The side by side was a quick snatch strap recovery that occurred simultaneously as the 4 runner recovery. Both machines sat for almost a week and the warm temps melted the snow substantially.

Both recoveries were pretty simple, but getting our team up to the side by side proved difficult in the deep snow in the shadows of the trees (thumbnail). We ended up getting stuck and had to get one of our own vehicles out first and use the smaller side by sides to get us up the hill the rest of the way.

After all this was done there was a side trip elsewhere (will be different video) on foot after driving as far as we safely could in the super deep snow to a 3rd vehicle that ultimately has to sit until the snow melts. Stay tuned for this video!
