The pocket knife can opener has evolved over the last 150 years. You can use this evolution to assist in dating the age of your knife. While the focus of the video is primarily on the can opener.

One of the driving forces on me to produce this was discuss a little bit about patents and how innovations such as the can opener have helped advance and improve pocket knife designs and how new innovations go from exclusive to one company to public domain.
