Elimination Communication isn’t “rushing” anything!

Potty learning begins at birth. When our babies wear diapers 24/7, the lesson they learn is that the diaper is the toilet. Then when they’re 2 or 3, we flip the script on them and drama ensues.

Instead of diaper-training our babies and then potty-training our toddlers, Elimination Communication teaches babies that the potty is where pee and poop belong from day 1. It doesn’t need to be perfect, it doesn’t need to be a full-time thing. The goal is to give babies plenty of potty practice so that when it comes time to go totally diaper-free, we aren’t starting from scratch and the process is smooth.

It’s also nice not having to change many poopy diapers, if any!
