2014 Chevrolet Malibu 2LT Test Drive Video Review

So Chevy has once again updated the car to make it more competitive. The base model 2014 Chevrolet Malibu starts at $22,340 with the top of the line 2LZ costing $29,950.

Does Chevy's updated Malibu have what it takes to go against the heaviest hitters in the mid-sized sedan segment? The main changes on the exterior occur upfront with a redesigned grille, different fascia, and different headlights. For the most part the rest of the body is carried over from the 2013 model year.

Under the hood is an all-new 2.5 liter EcoTec 4-cylinder engine that makes 196 horsepower and 191 lb-ft. of torque. The motor features a start-stop system and direct-injection. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic. Fuel economy is rated at 25 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the highway.
