Stalin Slams BJP Over Dakshina Pradesh Row As DMK Uses Odisha Videos To Allege Anti-Tamil Bias

The political battle in Tamil Nadu has intensified over issues of regional identity and pride. The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the Congress are aggressively circulating old Bharatiya Janata Party campaign videos from the Odisha elections. These videos, which targeted former bureaucrat V. K. Pandian over his Tamil roots, are being used by the alliance to allege that the BJP harbours anti-Tamil sentiments. In response to past allegations regarding the mistreatment of North Indian migrant workers, an unidentified speaker in the report asserted that migrants live comfortably and happily in Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has launched a severe attack on the BJP and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. Stalin alleged that the BJP intends to rename Tamil Nadu to Dakshina Pradesh and warned of a plot to divide the state. Furthermore, he branded AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami as a slave to the BJP and criticised the central government over the three-language policy and delimitation, calling them direct assaults on state rights.
