***IMPORTANT*** Dell's instructions also instruct you to dethatch the battery internally then press and hold the power button for 5 seconds once you have the base off, before you start working inside the laptop. Therefore, please make sure that you do this before removing the old memory and installing the new memory, and please make sure that you remember to reconnect the battery after you have finished the installation of the new memory and before you replace the base.
