Yusha: Heaven's Gate - Verny - Arcade Mode - PS1 Gameplay - The Forgotten Atlus 3D Fighter

Heaven's Gate was developed by Racdym and published by Atlus and was their first attempt at a 3D fighting game. Originally, the game was rumoured to have been planned on Sega's Model 2 Arcade board, but something happened during early development, and that just didn't happen.
Instead, the game went for the engine it runs on here, which clearly does not look anywhere near as good.

The game is ok and is actually a lot better than other PS1 fighting games I could mention (COUGH Killing Zone COUGH) and oddly feels rather like Battle Arena Toshinden. It's not actually a bad game but sadly it just never got noticed and instead got left behind in the forgotten pages of history.

The game is far from perfect and if I had to place it somewhere id probably say it's between Fighters Impact and Toshinden 3. So not exactly ground breaking and certainly no Tekken 3 but it's still rather fun and enjoyable.
