Eating INDIAN FOOD for 24 HOURS in MIAMI!! Dosas, Thali & Lassi | Florida

What’s up, guys? For years, I’ve been getting requests to do a video where I eat nothing but Indian food for 24 hours. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while, and today is the day! Come along with me as I eat Indian food for 24 hours, including dosas, a thali, and a lassi, in my hometown of Miami, Florida!

My day started in my office in Miami. Of course, I’ve eaten Indian food for weeks on end when I travel to India, but I’ve never done 24 hours of just Indian food at home in Miami. I couldn’t wait to get started!

First, I’d be heading to Charcoal Indian Cuisine in my neighborhood for breakfast, followed by Bombay Darbar for lunch, and finally, Bollywood Masala for dinner with my dad!

Charcoal Indian Cuisine is just a 5-minute walk from my office in downtown South Miami. I love this place! I’d be having dosas for breakfast there!

I met my boy Raj in the kitchen, who made me some yellow lentil sambar, a masala dosa, coconut chutney, and tomato chutney. Then, they made me a plain dosa in a cone shape, which is a cone dosa, followed by a Mysore masala dosa, which is spicy and has a hot paste inside! I couldn’t wait to eat!

I started with the Mysore masala dosa. I love that they put the chilies and curry paste inside as they cook it. It was really spicy and was fantastic with the lentil sambar and coconut chutney.

The plain dosa with the sambar was amazing as well! The tomato chutney was full of tangy tomato flavor! Then, the cone dosa was a bit more doughy on the inside. I added the aloo masala and coconut chutney to it. It was unbelievably good! They were so crispy and full of delicious layers.

After my Southern Indian breakfast, I walked back to my office, changed into my thali shirt, and then caught an Uber to Bombay Darbar in Coconut Grove.

In their kitchen, they made me several dishes for my two thalis! They mushroom makhani, channa masala, lamb, and regular butter chicken. I also had samosas, rice, sambar, chutneys, kheer (rice pudding), garlic naan, plain naan, and a mango lassi.

Out on their outdoor terrace, I started with the mushroom makhana. It was so creamy and flavorful and so good with the garlic naan. The tomato curry was unreal. Next, I jumped on the samosa and tamarind chutney. The samosa was crunchy and filled with potatoes, or aloo.

Next was the soupy daal and tandoori chicken. It was super smoky and contained garlic and cilantro. It was so tender! Next was the lamb pasanda, which was light and creamy. Eating it with the naan was the best!

The butter chicken is the #1 selling Indian dish in the West. It’s incredible and comes in a creamy tomato curry. I followed that with the channa masala, which was full of tender chickpeas. Then, I mixed the rice with the butter chicken and ate it with my hands! Adding the channa masala and tamarind chutney gave it even more flavor.

I finished up with the fruity and refreshing mango lassi and the creamy kheer. They cool down the heat!

From there, I headed back to my office and changed into my thali shirt before heading back out to Bollywood Masala for dinner. There, I picked up lamb vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, basmati rice, mango mousse, and chocolate mousse, and drove to my dad’s house.

We ate outside and started with the lamb. We loved the dark, rich gravy, but it was a bit too spicy for Dad! I loved it with the naan. Then, I added some rice and dug in with my hands!

What a phenomenal day of eating Indian food for 24 hours!
