HMHS Britannic 2003 Expedition
HMHS Britannic is a hospital ship which was sunk during WW1. Britannic was launched after being heavily modified due to the sinking of the "unsinkable" Titanic, however, she sank in about 55 minutes compared to 2 hours 40 minutes for Titanic.
The expedition was sponsored by National Geographic and Carlton TV and was tasked with finding out why she sank so quickly, and to answer another question: was she torpedoed or mined.
With the images obtained, National Geographic produced the documentary Titanic's Doomed Sister and Carlton TV published The Curse of the Titanic Sister Ships.
In memory of lost friends.
