Tesla Energy 11.56kW PV System + Full PowerWall Backup

Welcome to our 11.56kW Tesla Energy PV system we had installed on our new home in November-December 2020. When building our new home we were very interested in being self sufficient and generating enough solar energy to cover our needs along with some room for future energy consumption growth as our family grows. This system was the max permitted in Florida without requiring additional insurance. So, it falls just under their large system and comes in at 11.56kW and 34- 340 watt panels tied into a 10kW inverter.

We have a red referral PowerWall along with a second we purchased to provide whole house backup power. The second is required to have enough juice to kick on larger appliances like AC units, ovens, dryers, etc. We were able to pay Tesla $2,500 to move these PowerWalls from our previous home and have them installed at our new property. They were simply too expensive/important for us to leave, especially given the red referral PowerWall.

We've been thrilled with the system. We are generating vastly more energy than we are consuming and that is simply a wonderful feeling. I think there is a bit of a responsibility for more to add systems like this and hopefully through this quick video that happens!
