▪ For the Marinade:
½ Cup Low-Sodium Coconut Aminos
3 Cloves Garlic, peeled and minced
½ Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
⅛ Teaspoons Freshly Ground Four Peppercorn Blend, more to taste
▪ For The Chicken:
6-8 Pieces Boneless, Skinless Chicken Thighs or (Chicken Breast 4 Pieces)
1 Tablespoon Avocado Oil or Olive Oil, for frying
▪ Teriyaki Sauce:
1 Cup Low-Sodium Coconut Aminos
¼ Cup Lee Kum Kee Oyster Sauce
2 Teaspoons Honey or Agave Nectar, more to taste
2 Cloves Garlic, peeled and minced
⅛ Teaspoons Huy Fong Chili Garlic Sauce, more to taste
⅛ Teaspoons Freshly Ground Four Peppercorn Blend
▪ Slurry:
1 Tablespoon Low-Sodium Coconut Aminos or Cold Water
¼ Teaspoon Arrowroot Powder/Flour
▪ Garnish:
½-1 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds, Toasted - for garnishing
1 Stalk Green Onions-Sliced Thinly - for garnishing
Note:
When substituting arrowroot powder for cornstarch, the ratio to follow is:
Cornstarch:
(2 Teaspoons Arrowroot flour = 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch)
Flour substitute:
(1 Teaspoon Arrowroot Flour = 1 Tablespoon Wheat Flour)
Mix 1 part arrowroot powder with one to two parts soy sauce or cold water to form slurry.
