📚 Description:

Tupac Amaru Shakur aka 2Pac was born June 16, 1971 in New York City, New York. His life wasn't all roses and rainbows. When he was 13, his Mother and him were homeless. She was all he had and she did her best to raise him despite the poverty stricken life they led. His mother was also a reformed drug addict who had been a part of the infamous Black Panthers group. Despite his childhood struggles and not really knowing his father, 2Pac got his first break in 1990 when he became a backup dancer and roadie for Digital Underground.

In November 1991, 2Pac released his debut solo album "2Pacalypse Now" on Interscope Records and the album was certified gold with more than 500,000 albums sold. Sons of his like Brenda's Got A Baby on this album established him as an important voice in the rap game. In 1992, 2Pac got his first starring role in the movie "Juice" alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Omar Epps, & Queen Latifah. In 1993, 2Pac released his second album "Strictly 4 My N---Z" which produced hits like "Keep Ya Head Up" and "I Get Around" while also selling out like crazy. The album went platinum.

Later in 1993, 2Pac got his second movie role alongside Janet Jackson in "Poetic Justice" and it became a huge romantic hit. In 1994, 2Pac was shot 5 times and survived. Later on in 1995, 2Pac was sentenced to serve 4 1/2 years in prison for a sexual assault charge. In prison, 2Pac released his 3rd album titled "Me Against The World" which became the best selling album released by an artist in prison and went on to sell more than 3 million copies of the album. In 1995, Suge Knight posted $1.4M bail and 2Pac was released. In 1996, 2Pac released his album titled "All Eyez On Me" with Death Row Records and it instantly became his best selling album before he died. He's an inspiration to many. RIP 2Pac
