KRONE EasyCut trailed mowers 2019

Krone is now offering six new trailed EasyCut TC and TS mowers. TC stands for Trailed Center and refers to a mid-mounted drawbar which allows the mower to run offside the tractor, either to the right or left, whereas TS stands for Trailed Side and refers to a side-mounted drawbar.
All new models feature a modern and curved styling with smooth surfaces. They also benefit from a new frame that takes on a curved design and is arranged at a greater height for higher liftouts on the headland and improved lateral float. In addition to that, the stretched curtains prevent material from collecting on the cutterbar. Cutting at 3.16m to 3.60m widths, the smaller machines fold to less than 3m transport widths and the 3.60m machines to less than 3.45m.

The new trailed machines are available with two types of conditioners: the well-proven V-steel tines (CV) or the CR roller either with rubber rollers or the new M-Rolls. These feature an M-profile tread that suits especially demanding conditions such as leafy crops or stone-strewn fields. The 25cm diameter M-Rolls ensure an effective crop flow even in high-yielding crops. They kink the haulms multiple times, reducing the drying time in the field and ensuring a uniform wilting process and an exemplary quality of forage.

Well-proven features inside: SmartCut and Safe Cut
On the technical side, the mowers boast the tried-and-tested SmartCut cutterbar with optimised disc-to-disc spacings. The discs turning away from each other are now closer for increased overlap of the orbiting blades and perfect cuts even in difficult conditions like light crops. Equally professional is the machine performance in high-yielding crops. The discs turning towards each other at the rear are spaced apart wider, feeding high volumes of crop in a tight flow swiftly to the rear for higher work rates and yet clean cuts.
Another asset is the permanently lubricated and fully welded cutterbar that translates into stability and longevity. The patented SafeCut disc protection system is standard specification and protects the cutterbar driveline perfectly. The extra wide and hardened skids reduce the ground pressure and eliminate ground scuffing. These skids are available in various versions that suit different conditions. The standard skids are the EasyCut skids which can be replaced by hard-wearing, combination or high-cutting skids. The blades, too, are designed to practical needs. All new EasyCut mowers have quick-change blades as standard specification. Spare blades can be stored in the drawer that is integrated in the frame where they are readily at hand. The discs, too, are made to a modular design and the individual components are replaced individually relative to their degree of wear.

Convenient and practical
The new EasyCut TC/TS range also scores on comfort. For example, the cutterbar suspension is adjusted hydraulically from the cab as standard. The cutting height can also be changed hydraulically (option).
The mower is suspended in its centre of gravity for optimum contour control. The front curtain opens up wide so the blades are changed fast and conveniently. The new mowers are also available with the optional Collect cross conveyor belt.
The 91cm wide belt with a frame on the inside merges even high volumes of crops into compact swaths. The speed of the belt is set steplessly for flexible swath formation. Additional guide plates are fitted for spreading the material across the cutting width and uniform wilting.
