Farmhouse Modern Tiny Home w/ Bedroom Downstairs

This tiny was adapted from Tru Form Tiny's Villa Series.

It is a 26 ft tiny with bedroom on the ground floor and pass through bathroom. Great attention was paid to the window sizing for this client. A hydraulic lift bed opens to deep storage. Shelves border the bedroom so that items can be displayed and also hidden in baskets and decorative boxes. A headboard was carefully constructed in a chevron pattern out of Blue Stained pine.

A Vanity wasn't of great importance to this client and the sink was a delightful addition to a bathroom we didn't think could have a sink. Because the incinerator toilet is on a side wall the flue had to be on the inside of the bathroom - if it had been on the aft or fore of the unit, it could have penetrated to the exterior of the tiny. The shower is a comfortable 36"x36" and tiled floor to ceiling. The glass door maintains a more open experience in this unique bathroom.

The client was adventurous and wanted to explore the idea of the swivel counter, which can be pulled out to expand the kitchen work surface. The dining table folds down incase more space is needed. A small loft is above the bathroom to serve as storage space.

A small refrigerator hides under the counter to assure a work surface in the kitchen, while allowing the living room to be big enough for a large couch. Large windows in the living room appear to bring the outdoors in. Because this client wanted an unimpeded living room a dutch door was placed across from the kitchen, but above the wheel wells. This was an opportunity for more storage, by leveling the wheel wells out into a landing with storage drawers.

While our Villas usually have dividers in the windows, this client wanted to modernize the facade by having clean lines and a monotone exterior. The white on white exterior is dramatic and beautifully accentuates all the diligent detailing in the trim and siding work.
