Prime Time With Ravish Kumar - February 8, 2022: When World Health Organisation declared a public health emergency on January 20, 2020, why did India impose a lockdown two months later on March 24? According to a report published in the BBC last year, the Modi government did not consult key ministries and states while imposing the nationwide coronavirus lockdown. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday accused opposition parties of contributing to the spread of Covid in the early months by pushing migrant labourers to leave Mumbai and Delhi, as he responded to criticism of the government's policies in parliament. The Congress, said the PM, had committed a "paap and mahaapradh (sin and huge crime)" by driving people into crisis. (Audio in Hindi)
