AC singing arc - Plasma speaker - Portable 555/MOSFET Flyback driver
http://boginjr.com/electronics/hv/flyback-driver-2/ Singing arc taken from the AC output.Before the frequency was tuned, the oscillator was running at ca. 19-20kHz. with output voltage 6kV ac.
After tuning, the output voltage was almost 20 kV AC with 12 kHz. Voltage this high caused the ferrite core and the high voltage windings to play the music aswell... It also made two violet streamers on no load (this does NOT occur in rectified flybacks!)
