Housing First - Colin's Story | Building Better Futures

Housing First is a simple idea now being widely adopted across the UK and elsewhere: give someone their own place and provide intensive and bespoke support, care and treatment as needed to help end chronic homelessness.

This new approach provides stable housing and sustained support that is individually tailored to help people with the most complex needs – not only arising from extended periods of rough sleeping but also drug and alcohol abuse, imprisonment, mental health difficulties and abuse.

Framework’s Building Better Futures campaign is a major initiative to have a transformative impact on the lives of homeless people with the greatest needs by providing them with a home, first.

Framework plans 200 units of Housing First accommodation in the next five years across Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Sheffield.
