Beach Fishing - Estuary - Chessel Bay - chasing flounder - clipped down wishbone rig

I head out for a quiet afternoon session in the centre of Southampton and on the eastern bank of the River Itchen. Using clipped down wishbone rigs loaded with "bejazzle" I hope to winkle out one or two of the elusive Southern Flounder.

There is a resident seal that fishes this bay regularly and the whole area is very shallow, muddy and perfect for wading birds. Considering this is near the centre of a big city it surprises me how there is such a variety of wildlife.
