Mira -Whale with the White Blaze (4K)

This is Mira. She's a gorgeous Southern Right Whale with a distinctive white blaze over her back. This is pretty unique, as apparently LESS THAN 5% of adult Southern Right whales have these blazes on their backs (it's usually on the belly).

She is back with a new calf, after she was last spotted in these waters in 2017 with a calf. This indicates a healthy birthing cycle of 3 years.

Sit back and enjoy our latest short film - the interaction of a young calf with her mother. My observations always come down to this - the calves' behaviour is similar to those of young puppies. They are playful, curious, want to have fun, and push their own boundaries (also often trying to entice mum to play along)...

What we see here isn't visible from land, and needless to say this unique perspective gives us an amazing insight into the behaviour of these newborn calves. We hope you enjoy watching this as much as we do :) 🐳 🌊
