Factor Theorem - Find Two Unknown Coefficients, Given Two Factors - Polynomial - Exam Style Question
Using the factor theorem for polynomials, to find two unknown coefficients. Given two factors of a polynomial with two unknown coefficients, p and q, we learn how to find their values using the factor theorem by deriving two equations in terms of the unknowns p and q and solving them simultaneously. The method is explained in detail via a worked example.
