Aaliyah x Janet Jackson - Try Again Baby (Mashup) (Ft Timbaland)

Aaliyah and Janet Jackson collaborate in my mashup titled "Try Again Baby". It features Aaliyah's number one single "Try Again" featuring Timbaland and Janet Jackson's "Dammn Baby" from her number one album "Unbreakable".

Today (August 25th 2016) marks 15 years since Aaliyah tragically left us. She is one of my favourite artists of all time and I always find a way to tribute her through my mashups. This time I wanted to try my best at fulfilling her dream of collaborating with the legendary Janet Jackson. Aaliyah mentioned in countless interviews how much she wanted to meet and collaborate with Janet due to her amount of talent in all areas of music and dance. They had originally planned to collaborate for Aaliyah's final album but unfortunately it never came to fruition. I decided upon myself to create a mashup between the two to see what could have been if they ever did enter the studio together. Of course I can only do so much but I hope you enjoy this mashup! I love Dammn Baby's positive lyrics about finding yourself and being true to you as well as the lyrics in Try Again which are about perseverance. I'd love if Janet Jackson could see this. I'm such a big fan of hers and I would hope this would make her smile as she was very fond of Aaliyah so maybe we could tweet it to her? But I hope you guys enjoy this. May Aaliyah rest in peace xx
