Why you should save Pre 1982 pennies! There worth more then a Penny

I have been saving 1982 and under pennies as an investment. Now current laws prohibit the melting of such coins but laws do change. Pennies pre 1982 are 95% copper and have a melt price of 2 cents as of May 1st 2013. The value was higher just last year. You can't buy nothing with pennies so why not hoard them for there copper value.

FYI: Only half of 1982 pennies are copper. For years the government has tried to save money on pennies. They even tried aluminium pennies in the 1970s. But decided in the middle of 1982 to switch to a cheaper penny.

I think it's a great investment for kids
