2018 Leisure Travel Vans Serenity Review | A Beautifully Designed Class B+ RV
The 2018 Leisure Travel Vans is one of the most beautiful designed class C motorhomes both inside and out.

As class C (or as the sales people like to call them "class B+") RVs go the Serenity is about as sleek and automotive as they get. That's not saying much given that nearly every other class C motorhome looks exactly like it's made: a giant box stuck onto the rear of a cut-away chassis. At least Leisure Travel Vans makes the attempt to visually integrate their box into the chassis. Even though the result is not perfect the effort is appreciated.
This attention to design detail extends to the interior as well. Stepping into the Serenity feels less like your traditional RV and more like a modern condo: There's a small L-shaped corner couch in the front lounge covered in Ultra-leather and French-seamed upholstery, hand-crafted solid wood cabinetry with contemporary European curved doors. The front lounge also converts to a second bed - perfect for the grand kids. With the cab seats swiveled around you can seat 5 around the dinette.
The kitchen is L-shaped kitchen which is both functional and aesthetically pleasing with both convex and concave doors with a matching curved Corian counter and large picture window. There's plenty of storage above and below and a large sink and a high, modern faucet. A large 6.7 cu. ft. 3-way refrigerator is across the wide aisle and a convection microwave above. I like having the refrigerator and microwave across the aisle from the main prep area. It's simple to just turn around and grab whatever you need out of the refrigerator or microwave.
In the rear is your corner bed and bathroom. I'm not a fan of corner beds: they're hard to make up and tend to be on the smallish side and this corner bed proved me right on both counts. It's a good length at 80 inches but a bit narrow for 2 people. As you can see in the video I gave up trying to make the bed. There's an electric sofa-bed option that turns the bedroom into a second rear lounge. That's a smart option and one I would consider.
The bathroom is a dry bath. I like the curved radius sliding door but wish Leisure Travel would do something to dress up the bathroom. The Airstream Atlas has inlaid LED lighting in the doors of the shower and the Pleasureway Plateau XL series have floor to ceiling Corian in the shower stall.
As far as tank sizes go - you're good. 24 gallons of fresh water (a wee bit on the smaller size considering my much smaller Ascent has 20 gallons); 37 gallons for grey water and 29 gallons for black water. You have to wonder why Leisure Travel gave you such huge tank sizes on the black and grey tanks but such a small fresh water tank. Still the tank sizes are adequate for boondocking.
The electrical system is lacking. Solar and a generator are optional. I would have expected as least the generator to be a standard feature given the price. Also the inverter is only 1000w which is too small for today's modern campers. Lithium batteries are not an option. You'll get by with the electrical system but you're going to need to upgrade to solar and a generator to get there.
Overall I really like the Serenity. It's a fresh, modern design that you're going to enjoy coming home to. I would recommend you run out and but it if it had a longer coach warranty. Unfortunately the Leisure's coach warranty is only 2 years. My final recommendation is for you to consider it if you're a couple or a small family that enjoys quality; isn't price sensitive and doesn't care about a long warranty.
