HOW TO USE CHIPBOARD & KNIFE BLADE WITH YOUR CRICUT MAKER|START TO FINISH !

Materials Used

1) CHIPBOARD - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013JRFUA/?ref=idea_lv_dp_ov_d&tag=aiponsite-20&linkCode=ic6&ascsubtag=amzn1.ideas.2X1YKF3L2JIQN
2) Painters tape
3) Strong Grip (purple) mat
4) Knife Blade
5) Cricut Maker
Step by Step Instructions

1) Open Design Space
2) Make a new project/canvas
3) Make a text box, choose font, and insert text
4) Once you have the image/text how you want it, size the image appropriate for your sign size - IF YOUR TEXT IS CURSIVE OR SCRIPT LIKE MINE, MAKE SURE YOU UNWELD THE TEXT, MOVE IT SO THE LETTERS TOUCH AND RE-WELD!
5) Once you have it sized and welded how you want, click MAKE IT
6) Select your cut settings – for the chipboard, I used the Heavy Chipboard setting
7) Put your chipboard onto the mat – I used the strong grip purple mat
8) Once chipboard is on mat, apply tape to corners of board (i did the entire sides just for good measure)
9) IMPORTANT - LOAD KNIFE BLADE INTO MACHINE (SEE VIDEO FOR HOW-TO)
10) IMPORTANT - MOVE STAR WHEELS TO SIDES OF MACHINE (SEE VIDEO FOR EXPLANATION)
11) Load mat into machine using the flashing arrows - once loaded, press the flashing Cricut button to cut!
12) Note - it will start to cut your design in “passes” it takes TIME - don’t rush it!
13) Once all passes are complete*, unload mat and take chipboard off mat.

*NOTE: My text was VISIBLY finished after about 15 passes - if you think yours is done PAUSE the machine and check it but DO NOT unload your mat!
