"A Crack Epidemic … Keeping Crevice-loving Plants High and Dry Using Recycled Concrete"
Presented by Tony Avent, Plant Delights Nursery and Juniper Level Botanic Garden
Crevice gardens originated in the Chech Republic and have since come to the United States. While Colorado is home to many crevice gardens, there are two on public display in Wake County. The JC Raulston Arboretum has a small crevice garden which was recently expanded. And the staff at Juniper Level Botanic Garden have recently completed a massive crevice garden created from urbanite which are broken up pieces of concrete. Learn how and why they created this garden and see how it expands their plant palette.
