In the early fall of 1973 Marshall Tucker Band was still a young and hungry group out to prove themselves every time they hit the stage. Their debut album had already spawned numerous hits and even though they had been touring nationally with the Allman Brothers, the shows hadn't gotten them to the west coast. Finally, in September, the tour arrived at Bill Graham's legendary Winterland Auditorium.

Captured in all their rousing glory, these multi-track tapes of the complete show have finally been mixed and released on MTB's new CD, Way Out West!-Live from San Francisco 1973. You can hear Marshall Tucker Band pushing against their limits in these performances. From the sound of the late Toy Caldwell unleashing his virtuosic lead guitar, to Doug Gray's exuberant vocals, this CD is a must have for all Marshall Tucker fans.
