Saab 9-3 Automatic Transmission - Is it Reliable?

Not all automatic transmissions are created equal. Some will break or start to slip even with regular maintenance because of design defects or being too small for the engines they are matched up with.
Is the Saab 9-3 Automatic transmission reliable? I'd say it is, even after 20,000 miles of a Stage 1 tune. No issues even after a 20% power increase!
Wondering what transmission fluid to use for a 2003-2009 Saab 9-3?
Its Mobil ATF 3309. Do not use a universal fluid.
