6 Natural Fire Starters/Tinders for the Ferro Rod

Easy and abundant materials found in the boreal forest. All very good to know, learning many options is great cause you never know what you'll find in different environments or seasons. Here is the list of what me and my friend burned !
1. Shredded Birch (Betula Papyrifera) bark
2. Pine Fatwood (Pinus sp.)
3. Aspen inner bark (Populus Tremuloides)
4. Thistle fluff (Cirsium spp.)
5. Feathersticks
6. Balsam fir sap (Abies Balsamea)
