Elk & Peccary Stimulator Dry Fly Pattern - Troutlore Fly Tying #flytying

The Elk & Peccary Stimulator is a variation on so many different 'naked' Stimulator Dry Fly Patterns where the body is left without a hackle, and often with just a fine film of colour. In this instance, I use Peccary Mane Hair to create a beautiful segmented look to the body.

The Elk & Peccary Stimulator is one of my favourite flies to tie. It takes a little bit of time, as reflected in the length of this video, but the results are worth it. This dry fly is very satisfying to tie, and equally so to fish.
