Breaking! US-Iran on talking table; Trump delays 48-hour ultimatum over Iranian energy infra

In an ice breaking development, US-Iran resort to talks amid ever intensifying war in the West Asia. Trump posted on Truth Social about ‘very good & productive conversations with Iran over the last two days’. Earlier, President Trump gave the Iranian an ultimatum of 48 hours to “fully open” the Strait of Hormuz. If Iran doesn’t open Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, US will obliterate Iran’s various power plants, the ultimatum read. Based on the talks so far, Trump instructed Department of War to postpone strikes on power plants, energy infra for 5 days. US-Iran talks will go on for a week, said Trump, ‘subjected to the success of the ongoing meetings & discussions’. Trump’s ultimatum came as Iran intensified its strikes on energy infrastructures in the gulf countries. Pressure of Washington continue to mount over Strait of Hormuz amid global oil and energy crisis due to the Iran war.
