1st Time Whitewater Rafting | Deschutes River in Maupin, Oregon

This week we spend the weekend in Portland, Oregon catching up with friends, eating good food and going Whitewater Rafting for the first time!
We drive 2 hours outside of Portland to a small town off the Deschutes River called Maupin, Oregon where we catch a full day rafting tour with River Drifters.
Ask for Wilson if you book with them!

We raft about 15 miles of river, hitting class II and III rapids (1x Class IV where the entire boat went underwater!). The Full day tour lasts about 6 hours and River Drifters provides lunch half way through. We paid about $80 for the full day which isnt bad at all! It was such a good time and we plan on doing more whitewater rafting in the future!
