Studebaker US6 - REO US6 6x6

This is a REO US6 6x6 2½ ton truck, formerly of the US Army Ordnance Department. The REO US6 is virtually the same as the Studebaker US6. This one is approximately a 1944 model, they were produced in the United States from about 1941 to 1945. Powered by a Hercules 6 cylinder 94 horsepower (70 Kw) gasoline engine driving through a five speed (overdrive) main gearbox, with a two speed transfer case and front axle drive select lever. They were replaced by the M35 2½ ton truck.
