There are two types of people in the Disney fandom: those who think that they know everything about their favorite Disney Princesses, and those who keep correcting them. And that’s why we are here to tell you everything you need to know about these famous characters, so that no one will make mistakes ever again. Today, we are showing you 10 Common Misconceptions About Disney Princesses.
Most people know that “Pocahontas” was based on a true story. But what they might not know is that Disney turned a tragedy into a fairy tale. The young Native American woman was still a kid when she met John Smith, so the two never fell in love with each other. Instead, she was a prisoner, had to marry John Rolfe to escape, and passed away at a very young age. When you know about this story, you understand why Disney decided to make it sound better.
In “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” we were all happy to see the princess meet the love of her life. They quickly got married and lived happily ever after. However, this story is not as beautiful as you might think. That’s because Snow White was only 14 years old at that time, which is too young to say, “I do.” And you’ll have to watch our video to know how old she was in the original tale.
Stay tuned to hear more common misconceptions about Disney princesses from movies like “Frozen,” “Cinderella,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Mulan,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and “Moana.” Did we forget any other common misconception? Don’t be shy to tell us what it is in the comments section down below.
