Nature doesn't always follow a schedule! Today started with a panicked scramble at my son and daughter-in-law's homestead when their sow went into labor much earlier than expected. With the rest of the herd in the way and babies arriving fast, everyone had to be moved quickly to keep everyone safe.

But amidst the joy of 19 (yes, NINETEEN!) piglets, something rare was discovered: a mummified piglet. In this video, we take a closer look at why this happens (it’s more common than you think in large litters!) and how the rest of the family settled in after a long day.
