Jake (Tom Taylor) dreams about Mid-World, which he depicts in his drawings. In Mid-World, The Gunslinger Roland Deschain is with his father Steven (Dennis Haysbert) in the woods. They hear Walter's voice and get their guns ready while reciting the Gunslinger's creed. Walter appears and uses his manipulation magic to cut off Steven's breathing, killing him. Roland, however, is immune to Walter's magic. He tries to shoot Walter, but he catches Roland's bullets.

What’s theThe Dark Tower movie about?
The last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain (Idris Elba from Thor and Pacific Rim), is condemned to an eternal battle against Randall Flagg alias the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey from True Detective and Interstellar). He must at all costs prevent him from destroying the Dark Tower, key to the cohesion of the universe. The fate of all worlds is at stake and good and evil will face each other in a final battle. Roland is the only one who can defend the Tower against the Man in Black.
