Is The University a Bad Idea?

Welcome to another video! In this video, I'm going to be talking about one of the most important questions in today's day and age - the truth about college education, and should you save your money when it comes to university education?

A lot of people are asking themselves is college a waste of time in 2021, is the cost of a college education worth it, and should I go to college if I don't know what to do? Considering that we live in the internet era, where you can learn a bunch of skills online, the question becomes; should you pay tens of thousands of dollars, and if you live in the US, be burdened with the student loan debt for years and years to come? (That you can't even declare bankruptcy on or get rid of even if you die?!)

So, you've graduated from high school, and it's time to decide is college still worth it? What are the most important questions that you should ask yourself before starting your college education?

Certainly, some of the most important ones are:

- Do you have a career path in mind?
- Are you going to college because that is what is expected of you? What's the goal here?
- Is your college degree worth the money (and the student debt) that you are going to have to pay? (Calculate opportunity cost for the committed time)
- Is your chosen career path conditioned by your college degree, or are you able to have a career in that field without the college degree?
- Do you have enough self-awareness to know for certain what you would like to do in life?

What are your thoughts on this subject? Is going to college still worth it? Or do you think that you can have a career in one of the most sought out jobs right now, like web development, web design, marketing, etc, without a college degree?
