How to make a DC motor at home video illustrate the steps of making DC motor (Homopolar motor)

Through this project I am expecting to explain the operating principles of the DC motor. In many applications it is required to convert electrical energy to mechanical energy (kinetic energy), and the most economical and efficient way is use of the motors. Motors can be basically classify in to DC motors and AC motors. Motor works according to the Faraday’s law of induction, it is the fundamental law of electromagnetism explaining the interaction between magnetic field and current carrying conductors. When current carrying conductor place in a magnetic field, the force is generated on conductor on direction perpendicular to the magnetic field and current carrying direction. In above experiment when current passes through the coil above the magnetic field generated by the permanent magnets produces a force on conductor tangential direction to the rotating axis, and causes to generate the torque for rotation.

Tips
Use around 18 SWG copper cable
Properly remove enamel of the cable at the ends (Time 02:00-02:15)
Use around 15 turns winding for armature
Magnets can found from white board erasers
