Easy Hydroponics Setup At Home - How to build a $15 Aquaponic Garden

How to setup a super easy hydroponics or Aquaponic garden at home + growth comparison! It works great.

We made this super easy hydroponics or aquaponics setup with an old aquarium, water and water life from the local ditch and an aquarium pump. For this hydroponic system I started by drilling 6 holes in the plastic container to create an overflow for the soil bed. Then I've put hydro granules in the container to create a good hydroponics/ aquaponic garden ground. I used pepper and mint plants from our garden, washed of the soil (to bare naked roots) and "planted" them in between the granules. This hydroponics is created so some of the roots have always water around them and a part gets try between the cycles.

The cheap aquarium pump pumps up the ditch water very easy, which contains nutrients from the waterbugs and plants. This will feed the pepper and mint plants in the aquaponic garden. I made a comparison after 2 months and especially the mint grew much bigger then the mint in the garden. I hope you all enjoy the video, let me know what you think.
