Caterpillar Marine engine. Changing out a raw water pump on a Cat 3516.

SW pump change out on a Cat 3516.
Time for some planned maintenance on the Caterpillar engine. This time its a coolant pump on the main engine.
This is the salt water pump or raw water pump for the plate cooler.
This is a 3000 hr maintenance.
Lets see how we can sling this up and pull it out of place. We will replace the gaskets and o rings as well.
Also. the drive gear has to be swapped over to the new pump. Lets get this done. its fairly easy. The pump is heavy.
