Valentine’s Day is getting more expensive, with prices climbing across nearly every traditional gift category. Chocolates are up 7.5%, flowers about 9%, wine 13%, jewelry 23% and lingerie roughly 25%, driven in part by tariffs. Restaurants are also cashing in: Revenue on Valentine’s Day jumps 34% compared with an average Friday night, and bills run about 17% higher. Foot traffic spikes 15%, and diners lean into classic pairings, steak orders nearly double, wine sales rise 38%, and 53% of customers finish with dessert.
