Alex Ovechkin's NHL Debut (10/5/2005)

October 5, 2005 - After a lockout canceled the 2004-05 season, Capitals fans were eagerly waiting to see their #1 overall pick from 2004 play his first game in the NHL. Ovechkin rewarded the fans for their patience on his very first shift by hitting Radoslav Suchy so hard a stanchion fell out of the glass.
