Apple CarPlay & Audio Upgrade in a Mazda MX-5!

In this video we upgrade the infotainment and sound system in a Mazda MX-5 Mk3, transforming both the technology and audio performance of the car.

The factory stereo has been replaced with a Kenwood DMX8021DABS head unit, adding modern connectivity features including Apple CarPlay, while the speakers have also been upgraded to dramatically improve sound quality.

Upgrades completed:
• Kenwood DMX8021DABS head unit
• Apple CarPlay integration for navigation, music, calls and messaging
• 2-inch midrange speakers installed in the doors
• 8-inch woofers installed in the doors for powerful bass and improved sound

Apple CarPlay allows the driver to access apps such as Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, Apple Music and WhatsApp, all directly from the touchscreen display.

The upgraded 2" mids and 8" woofers provide a much fuller sound with improved clarity and significantly stronger bass compared to the factory speakers, making a huge difference to the overall listening experience.

Combined with the Kenwood DMX8021DABS, this setup brings the Mazda MX-5 up to date with modern technology while also delivering a big improvement in audio quality.
