Japan PM reportedly to resign over ongoing health issues
Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is reportedly set to resign from his position as he fights ongoing health issues.
He suffers from a chronic inflammatory bowel condition which caused him to make two hospital visits in a week, with one lasting up to eight hours.
The prime minister's term was due to end in September 2021.
He is expected to reveal more information at a press conference later today.
