Symptoms of a MCL Injury
Dr. Derek Papp, Sports Medicine Physician with Miami Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute, explains the MCL is a ligament (Medial Collateral Ligament) that goes on the inside part of your knee, it is relatively thick and keeps your knee from going knock-kneed.
He also says if it is an isolated MCL injury you do not get the same amount of swelling inside the joint as an ACL injury, because for the most part it is outside the joint.
