Sony PlayStation 3 Slim Review: Sleek and Slim is In!

Released in 2006, the PlayStation 3 was set to be the best PlayStation yet. With a powerful CPU, true high-definition graphics, a built-in hard drive, the ability to play Blu-Ray movies, full PlayStation & PlayStation 2 backwards compatibility, and more robust online infrastructure, Sony was determined to make the PS3 the most powerful and feature filled console money could by! Unfortunately due to a high launch price and complex architecture that was hard to develop for, the PS3 really lagged in sales compared to its competition.....at first.

Around 2009, Sony made huge decisions to save the PS3 from impending doom. They released the PS3 Slim, cut out unnecessary features to save on costs, and slashed the price down to $299. Sony took the console from one the brand's biggest downfalls to a console that was finally giving the Xbox 360 a run for its money.

The PS3 may have had a rough start out of the gate, but thanks to smart decisions from Sony that helped turn things around, amazing exclusives, and great multimedia support, the PS3 is a great system that still holds up today; and is one of the best consoles Sony ever made in my opinion!
