51 - ZX Spectrum +2a - Teardown, Clean and Attempted Fix - Part 02

Welcome to another video.

Part 02 of the ZX Spectrum +2a refurb for dads birthday.

Here I have a go at the duff tape drive by replacing the tape belt and applying white lithium grease.

It still sounds like its about to die, but 3 out of 4 tapes tested work fine and the games load and can be played.

This is good enough (for the moment) for what dad wants the machine for.

I will be re-flowing the solder joints at some stage, and this will be another video, so subscribe and stay tuned for that!
