SCRIPT

The final rehearsal of the Serbian Armed Forces' military parade took place in Belgrade on Tuesday, two days ahead of the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the capital. Soviet Union designed MiG-29 jet fighters flew overhead, while at the beginning of the rehearsal, cannon fires were set off, and the Serbian national anthem, 'Boze pravde', performed to the audience.

Chief-of-staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, Ljubisa Dikovic saluted the audience during the parade, and army personnel shook hands with an imaginary Putin and Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic ahead of the real thing.

The parade has been organised as a part of welcoming Russian President Vladimir Putin, and to mark the 70 year anniversary since the liberation of Belgrade during WWII.
